The Irregular Warfare Center (IWC), is excited to host the Annual IWC Symposium on 26-27 March 2025 at the Sheraton Pentagon City in Arlington, VA.
The symposium begins with a keynote address, followed by a series of panels focused on components to Total Defense.
• Day one illuminates the role of civil society and national strategies in strengthening national resilience against malign influence and hybrid threats.
• Day two illuminates the roles of both civilians and the military in resisting invasion and occupation.
This event envisions expanding the concept of Integrated Deterrence as core components of deterrence strategy. By adopting a Total Defense framework, countries can integrate social, governmental, and military capabilities to prepare for and respond to threats effectively. This approach not only strengthens national defenses but also transforms defensive cooperation into a powerful deterrent. The irregular warfare community must embrace this comprehensive strategy to redefine deterrence for our current security environment.
