Effective Writing for DoD Professionals (IW-105)

IW-105 Purpose:

This short, on-line course covers the fundamentals of writing for the Irregular Warfare Center (IWC). This includes defining writing goals, analyzing audience, and choosing the best medium for the message; various techniques for structuring writing; and a focus on writing that is clear, concise, and courteous.

IW-105 is available on the Defense Security Cooperation University virtual classroom called MyDSCU. An account is required and registration can be completed at this link. From the myDSCU homepage (once logged in), type IW-105 in the search bar at the top right.

Foreign Nationals without CAC Card

Since this category of user has neither SSN nor DoD ID (EDIPI), the user will be identified by a Foreign Identification Number (FIN) to prevent duplicate accounts. Within myDSCU, students will be identified only by their student number (DAUID).
